 Isn't the kit wonerful??  Not only did the colors first grab me, but the assortment of awesome elements is superb!

I have scrapped this picture before - and intend on doing so each holiday season because it is just too funny ... it makes me smile every time I see it!

 

Digi Dare

I have been stalking the Digi Dares Blog for awhile now - and today decided I'd play along ... phew - it was more of a challenge than I thought it would be - and I just finished.

The "daring" details:

WEEKS DARE

Split Personality. I want to know what makes you go really happy and really upset (or sad, or just plain grumpy). Celebrations and parties are starting to pop here and there for the holidays and let’s just say I am a big grumpy holiday gal. (Dalis wrote this awesome dare, but this kinda describes me too.  Feel free to go holiday or maybe even go with someone else’s perspective.)

Tell me the little things or the big things, we want to know it all! Is it the strong disgusting smell of cinnamon pine cones that make you feel like you want to RUN! Or is the homemade air scents that makes you sing along.

Dare Flairs:
1- Split the page.
2- Use different (very different colors) for each side of your page
3- Use some kind of metal on the grumpy side and something soft like curly ribbons or flowers in the happy side.
4- Journal (list or paragraph it doesn’t matter)

Vintage Photos

Dad and Mom passed along lots of vintage photos to me - I'm so happy to have them.  I have scanned some, but have hundreds I need to get scanned and filed away.

Here's a page I created using a kit designed by Connie Prince (thanks for giving me the opportunity to be a guest on your creative team during December Connie!!).  The kit is available in Connie's store @ Scrapbook Bytes - the name of the kit is "We Are Family" 

Here is another page I created using a photo of my oldest sister.  I just can't help but smile when every time I look at the photo!  

The page was created for a challenge hosted by Juno Designs at ScrapMatters, using the quote: "Just be who you want to be, not what others want to see."  When I signed up for the challenge I really didn't think I would make a page that took the quote quite "literally" ... but that's how it turned out.

Give Yourself a LIttle TLC Jars

A few weeks ago I saw a "Pamper Yourself" gift jar idea ... this is my take on the project.

A mason jar had been used for the project I spotted earlier, but I decided to go with another type of jar ... 

 I found the cool cylinder vases at the Dollar store ... the price was right and I think they turned out pretty cute.

I picked up fuzzy socks at Kohl's ... shower gel and mini candles are from Bath and Body Works and Lotions from Gordman's ... and of course, I had to throw in Ghidadelli Chocolates!

I printed the greeting on the little card first then used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the envelope and card.

I hope my friends enjoy getting these fun little gifts as much as I enjoyed putting them together for them!

Early in October I went on a "photo safari" (hosted by Chicago Photo Safari) we drove through several parts of the county and were able to capture as many photos as our hearts desired during the day.  Here are a few of the hundreds of photos I snapped during our journey ... enjoy!!

Digital Scrapbooking

Digital scrapbooking has been an important part of my life since 2006 when I discovered it while searching the internet for computer crafts.  Once I tried it there was absolutely no turning back! In 2006 digital scrapbooking was a relatively new concept but today the internet is full of digital scrap sites, stores, galleries and forums.  

I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with some awesome designers and am currently a member of the Gingerscraps Creative Team, Jennifer Labre Designs Creative Team, LDrag Designs Creative Team and Juno Designs Creative Team.
